Sorry about the long absence. I think I kinda hit the ground running after Richie's death, and every now and then you just have to sit it out for a minute. So I took the week off of school and just watched some films. A lot of them were personal favorites of Richie's so I feel like it was a very cathartic week. The best part? I got a mysterious invitation to the new Indy film, which coincidental was Richie's most anticipated film behind Dark Knight, (which we erroneously printed as Dark Knights, sorry.) It hard to believe that we were both 1 when the 3rd one came out and now Richie is 0, because he doesn't age anymore. Anyway my grandma checked the mail on Thursday and lo and behold, someone had given me 2 tickets to an advance screening of Indiana Jones and the King of the Crystal Skulls. I was so excited to finally see Harrison Ford back in the Role of adventurer and high school teacher Davey "Indiana" Jones, after 20 years. So anyway, I didn't have anyone to go with me, so I am keeping the second ticket as a keepsake. To make a long story short, the movie was classic Indy. You have got to see this film.
So we have some really big news for you. I have talked my cousin Brad into helping out with the blog. He is a freshman at NYU and is a media major. He knows a lot about film and he will be an awesome addition to the family. Cant wait for his new column Brad's Picks, in which he picks his favs in movies, comic books, and even music sometimes. So keep your eyes peeled for this awesome new column! Awesome stuff to come guys!-Chad
